Microsoft Vista seems to not show any picture thumbnails when the Pictures folder is opened.

The answer is in a setting found the control panel...

1. Click control panel
2. Change to Classic View
3. Go to Folder options
4. Click on the View tab
5. Uncheck the first item called "Always show icons, never thumbnails"

God only knows why Microsoft decided that this should be checked as default !!!!!!
